This unique collection contains significant photographs of Polson, Montana, and the surrounding areas from 1909 to the present. The items were collected for more than 50 years by Paul Fugleberg, Polson historian, freelance photojournalist, and co-owner, publisher, and editor of the weekly Flathead Courier newspaper (1963-1980). Many of the photos are his own. The collection depicts local people, landscapes and landmarks, recreation, tourism, transportation, Native American culture, agriculture, and the Homestead Era.
