Jordan Bean of Bridger who died in September of 1948. Survivor of Little Castle Valley Fight of June 15, 1881 (near Moab, Utah). He was shot in the temple and played dead. Colorado Historical Society has Jordan Bean's account of battle - The Colorado Magazine XX January 20, 1943, edited by Edgar C. MeMeche. Ranched with wife Mary at the head of Piney creek, east of Warren. Settled in Bridger in 1906. See State Pioneer Dies at Bridger, Billings Gazette, September 16, 1949. Buried at Bridger Cemetery.
