Meeting of the Executive Committee, held November 23rd, 1897, at 340 Madison Avenue.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved .
The Secretary submitted a revised draft of the Constitution, which, after detailed examination by the Committee, was approved, except that it was resolved to strike out of Article IV the words "wolf(not coyote)", and out of Article V the word ”wolf” ; and the Secretary was instructed to send a copy of the revised Constitution to every member of the Club, with a copy of his letter in explanation of the same.
On motion, duly seconded, it was RESOLVED that the following Rules shall be
adopted by the Executive Committee
1. Candidates must be proposed and seconded in writing
by two members of the Club.
2. Letters concerning each candidate must be addressed
to the Executive Committee b7 at least ho •members, oth*
tnan the proposer and seconder.
for regular membership
3. No candidate* shall be proposed or seconded by any
member of the Committee on Admissions.
4. All elections by the Executive Committee shall be by ballot only.

5. No person shell be elected to Associate membership who is qualified for regular membership, but withheld therefrom by reason of there being no vacancy.
The Rule adopted at the meeting of June 7th, 1897, regarding election of Honorary Members, was amended to read as follows
6. Mo candidate for any class of membership who is nominated at a meeting of the Executive Committee shall be acted upon before the following meeting, ana the Secretary shall send to every member of the Executive Committee a notice that the name of such candidate will come before the Committee for action at that meeting.
Mr. Henry u1, Osborn nominated by Madison Grant , and seconded by C. G. La ^arge was duly elected an Associate Member. Mr, Osborn was nominated .Tune 7th.

Meeting of the Executive Committee held at 319 "Fifth Avenue, on December 23rd, 1898,
Present:- Messrs. Wadsworth, Rogers, Morris, Stimson and La "Targe. Mr, Wadsworth in the Chair. Messrs, GrinnelPand Pinchot were present, at the request of the Committee, to discuss the attitude of the Club toward the administration of Game and "Forest mattters in this State.
The Secretary reported the receipt of a letter from the "forestry Committee of the New York Board of Trade and Transportation, stating that they had been referred to him by Governor elect Roosevelt in this matter, and upon motion it was
RESOLVED that the Executive Committee instructed the Secretary to confer with the Board of Trade and Transportation, artf requested Mr, Pinchot to do the same, the result of the conference to be reported to the Executive Committee? at their: next meeting.
On mot ion, it was RESOLVED that the next annual dinner shall be held on Saturday, January 21st, 1899, at the Metropolitan Club, and the Secretary was instructed to say in the notice of the dinner that there shall be no-guests, except those invited by the Executive Committee.
The Secretary was instructed to ask Dr. Mar ri*am to speak on the subject of the Kadiak bear, and in the

The lattter of Mr, George Bird Grinnell requesting that he should be paid the sum of $200; , for his services in editing the three books of the Boone Sc Crockett Club already published was read, and ordered' placed on file, and under the resolution passed at the annual meeting of 1897, the Treasurer was ordered to pay the above amount to Mr, Grinnell,
